If a woman has a family history of this disease, how soon should she start getting screened for it? How soon do symptoms of the disease start to appear? 
I've heard that surgery and other treatments for leiomyosarcoma are not usually successful. Why is that? Are there any treatments that are usually successful for this disease?

Can lifestyle changes like eating right and exercising have an effect on leiomyosarcoma? Do people have to change the way they live once they learn they have the disease?
